So much pressure!
Trent and I are thinking of hosting a holiday cookie party next week to get some extra celebrating in before we leave. This blog post was a lot of the inspiration, they all look delicious.
But it is kind of a lot of pressure.. what cookies to make!?
Hey Jean! I think the best cookies for a holiday party are simple sugar cookies. Here is a great recipe (good one for rolling out the dough and cutting out shapes): http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/The-Best-Rolled-Sugar-Cookies/Detail.aspx --- just have the dough out, lots of flour on hand, and plenty of icing and decorations (shiny silver french dragees are always a hit, so are the little red hot tamale type sprinkles) and people will have a blast making them. Or, you and Trent could always have a night in and make them yourselves before the party --- it's fun to see what people come up with (my husband and I get a tad competitive and try to outdo each other). Have fun and happy holidays to you two!
