Does anyone else just want to be friends with him? He was so happy, smart, funny... it was terrific. Yay Obama administration.

I liked the interview he gave in the NYTimes a while back (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/19/magazine/19wwln-q4-t.html?_r=1)
Especially the part where they asked him if his family was impressed about his prize and he says his mom was like “That’s nice — and when are you going to see me next?”.
(although his answer about the fridge doesn't make much sense with the question, there must have been some funny editing)
I was a grad student at Stanford when he was still a professor here. He can be really charming, but he was also pretty unkind and unsupportive to many grad students over the years. Don't be fooled by the smiling exterior! :)
